This Is Technically a Bear Deck is a five-color changeling tribal deck where every creature eventually becomes every creature type at once. Powered by Rukarumel, Maskwood Nexus, Arcane Adaptation, and a pile of shapeshifters, the deck turns random tribal synergies into absolute chaos.
One turn it’s Slivers.
The next it’s Demons.
Then suddenly Bears, Dragons, Elementals, Faeries, Rebels, Dinosaurs, and whatever else happens to be useful.
The deck snowballs value through overlapping tribal payoffs like Reaper King, Risen Reef, Ayula, Be’lakor, Cloudshredder Sliver, and Liliana’s Contract while changelings quietly become the entire creature type chart at the same time.
Despite the nonsense, the deck is surprisingly consistent thanks to a heavily basic-focused mana base backed by tribal rainbow lands and The World Tree.
Yes, this can become a Sliver deck.
Yes, it can become a Demon deck.
And yes…
This is technically a Bear deck.
