The Hobbit Precon — Sage of the Journey
(Adventure theme)
Join Gandalf on an unexpected journey where every spell can lead to another adventure. Build your fellowship of Wizards and use the Ring tempts you to turn unlikely companions into legendary heroes, increasing the power of Gandalf’s spellcasting and letting you cast powerful spells for free.
Send your creatures on Adventures again and again by returning them to your hand, or bring their stories back from the graveyard with cards like Bilbo, Thief in the Night, Diviner of Mist, and Invoke Calamity. Fill your graveyard with Glamdring, Foe-hammer and Most Decrepit Old Bird, turning discarded Adventures into future opportunities.
Control the battlefield by bouncing opposing creatures while recycling your own Adventure creatures for another journey. Cards like Barrin, Master Wizard, Press the Enemy, and Baral’s Expertise turn that disruption into additional value and free spells.
As your Wizards gather, Balmor, Battlemage Captain and Adeliz, the Cinder Wind transform every spell into a rallying cry for your fellowship. Harmonic Prodigy and Wizard’s Staff amplify their abilities, allowing one spell to trigger an entire chain of effects.
Cast for free. Return and replay your Adventures. Double your Wizard triggers. And when the journey seems over, find another way to begin it again.
