A Golgari Commander deck built around Tom, Bert, and William, the argumentative troll trio from The Hobbit — three big, hungry mouths that turn any creature on the table into a fistful of cards. Their ability is simple and brutal: pay {1}, sacrifice a creature, draw cards equal to its power, then discard one. Big, cheap bodies are the trolls' favorite meal, and they never run out of appetite — when they die as a creature, they come back as an artifact, sidestepping commander tax entirely.
The deck's whole plan is stocking the battlefield with oversized, disposable threats — Ghalta, Lord of Extinction, Old Stickfingers, both Yargles — and turning them into card advantage the moment they've done their job, whether that's after an attack, in response to removal, or the instant they hit the board off a cheat effect. Greater Good, Wall of Blood, and Skullclamp back up the same "sacrifice for cards" engine from other angles, while Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance-style drain turn every death into damage. Ramp (Llanowar Elves, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Cultivate) gets the fatties out early, and recursion (Reassembling Skeleton, Eternal Witness, Oversold Cemetery) keeps the sacrifice fodder coming so the trolls never miss a meal.
The deck wants to feel like an arms race: cast something huge, sacrifice it before it becomes a liability, refill your hand, and repeat — with Tom, Bert, and William sitting there smugly indestructible in every sense that matters, waiting for the next course.
