I believe Smaug is a fair commander precon that can get out of control with the right upgrades. This deck is about the greed for gold and the power/demise that comes with it.
Also precons should have:
- A least 1 good land: Luxury Suit
- Value cards: 6 cards > 5 dollars
- Possibilty for fun: Blast-Furnance H. and Deep Shaker Titan
- Weird Side Commander: The Balrog
