Bag End Liquidation
deck The Notary Hobbits
Aug 12, 2026
Bilbo is presumed dead, and The Notary Hobbits have been hired to settle his estate in this unique tier 2 mono-green deck! Inventory artifacts, collect tokens, and pool sums of mana as Messrs. Grub, Grub, and Burrowes welcome promising “buyers” from all across Middle-earth!
Gameplay:
Utilize The Notary Hobbits alongside untap effects like Thousand-Year Elixir and Quest for Renewal to generate bursts of mana and tokens throughout the game. Deploy highly interactive artifacts like Coveted Jewel and Pendant of Prosperity. These items represent the priceless heirlooms of the estate, physically passing between players as the table barters and squabbles over Bilbo’s belongings. Use your newly acquired equity to lure in the wealthy "Buyers" traveling down the Greenway. Beasts, Trolls, and Ents like Feasting Troll King, Beorn the Fierce, and Stonehoof Chieftain enter the Shire and turn the modest bargaining into an all-out brawl. In the end, close the ledger and secure the sale via honest, old-fashioned Shire resilience. Mass-pump your army of Hobbits and creatures with heavy-hitting finales like Overwhelming Stampede, charge into battle with Motivated Pony, or liquidate your artifacts and enchantments with Bane of Progress for a big finish!
After your first game, switch your commander over to Bilbo, Fellow Conspirator and join him on a new adventure to take back Bag End and all of his belongings.
