Work in Fulfillment and Verification at Mana Pool

Mana Pool opened a dedicated fulfillment space in Newbury Park, CA, near Los Angeles. We are looking for a full-time employee to work there, alongside one founder and one developer. The Mana Pool space adjoins Plus EV Games.

You will help execute the operational work behind Mana Pool Fulfillment: receiving seller packages, verifying cards, authenticating high-value items, consolidating Gather & Verify orders, and shipping accurate packages to buyers. This work is currently all done as a contract with Plus EV Games, and you come on as the internal Mana Pool person who manages and grows our authentication and fulfillment operations.

Requirements/Skills

For this position, you should be detail-oriented, fast-moving, organized, and love Magic.

  • Located in or willing to relocate to the Newbury Park, CA area (near LA)
  • Comfortable working primarily in person at our Newbury Park fulfillment facility
  • Deep experience with Magic: The Gathering, including card identification, condition assessment, and common authenticity checks
  • Strong attention to detail when handling many similar cards and orders
  • Comfort with marketplace software, shipping tools, spreadsheets, and written notes
  • Friendly, clear communication with teammates, buyers, and sellers

Responsibilities

You will help run the physical flow of cards through Mana Pool, from arrival at the facility through final shipment to buyers.

  • Receive, sort, pick, pack, and ship Magic card orders from the Newbury Park facility
  • Verify incoming packages for card identity, quantity, finish, language, condition, and authenticity
  • Operate Gather & Verify workflows: receive seller packages, verify them, consolidate multiple seller packages into one buyer package, and prepare final shipments
  • Escalate mismatches, missing cards, condition downgrades, suspected counterfeits, and other order issues through Mana Pool's internal tools
  • Keep the facility organized and help improve processes as volume grows
  • Lead teams as the operation grows

Hybrid Support Work

Depending on fit and business needs, this role may also include hybrid support responsibilities similar to our Marketplace Support role. That can include corresponding with buyers and sellers, helping resolve order issues, creating replacement orders, issuing refunds or credits, and surfacing software or process improvements.

Compensation

  • Salary - $45,000+/year, negotiable based on experience
