Bard, King of Dale

Gandalf, Party Guest

Beorn the Fierce
Balancing a strategy of big, stompy creatures with built in card draw for simply having those very same creatures with your commander out, Beorn to be Wild should be an easy and fun PreCon to pilot for any new or current player of Magic the Gathering. This is a very solid bracket 2 deck that can easily be upgraded with cards such as Chronicle of Victory, Finale of Devastation, Roaming Throne, and/or Last March of the Ents for example alongside some game changers as well to get it up to a bracket 3 deck as needed, while not skimping out on value for what is already included in the PreCon itself.

Gandalf, Goblins' Bane // Flameshape
Activate your wizard powers! A gathering of wizards led by Gandalf add their powers together to create devastating storms. Gandalf provides you with both card advantage and damage, letting you be flexible in how you approach games. Then you can put on the pressure with your other wizard cards to deal the final blows.

Bard, King of Dale
Bard, king of draw and tokens. I tired to keep it flavorful with a good amount of both hobbit and lore cards. Has multiple win conditions with fun options like halo fountain, Jace (wielder of mysteries), triskadephile, lab maniac, and a straight forward win conditions with moonshaker cavalry! Putting new chase cards from the hobbit set in the deck like gleaming splendor and the queen of dale help keep the deck flavorful while keeping good value.

Gollum, Riddle Master

Smaug, Wicked Worm
Steal treasures from your opponents to build the hoard, then spend them to defeat your opponents.

Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff
Riches to Ruin is an Orzhov Hobbit / Lord of the Rings inspired Treasure Aristocrats deck helmed by Lotho, Corrupted Sheriff. Let Lotho collect wealth from your opponents, then turn treasures into damage and value. --- As a Precon the deck has a simple and straightforward flow: use Lotho and other cards like Life Insurance, Monologue Tax, and Discerning Financier to generate your riches. Capitalize from your wealth with interest from Belladonna Took, Academy Manufactor, and Rosie Cotton. Turn your wealth into value and pain with cards like Mirkwood Bats, Lobelia, and the Marionettes. Then when you've accumulated a Smaugpile of treasure, cash it in with finishers like Exsanguinate and Debt to the Deathless to turn "Riches to Ruin". --- As a fan of DCC I saw Doug Kovacs art for this card and knew I wanted to build this one. There is no secondary commander as there are no other legendary Orzhov creatures in this set! Some potential upgrades that I did not include to keep the cost down include: Forge Neverwinter Charlatan (Gains power for each treasure you control, create treasure when opponents sacrifice creatures), Gleaming Splendor (Hobbit theme, force opponents to draw, creating you treasure), Grim Hireling (Create treasure from combat damage. Add Lands like Rogue's Passage, Secret Tunnel, Access Tunnel to make creatures unblockable), Orcrist Goblin Cleaver (similar value to Grim Hireling), Revel in Riches (treasure wincon), Tempting Contract (create treasure), The Arkenstone (card draw), Torment of Hailfire (potential finisher).

Bolg of the North
We're trying to Punch in early with standard goblin fare, adding to that pressure we loop Bolg with "fake death" and recursion effects to build a massive army and take out blockers. Brash taunter and stuffy doll let Bolgs ability go face and have fun interactions with blasphemous act and fire covenant. Zada turns our Fake deaths into Heroic interventions. Clone affects can double anthems, reducers, or used with a fake death 2 commander procs. An aggressive 2 with a quirky endgame.

Bard the Bowman

Chief of the Wilds

Radagast of Rhosgobel

Smaug, Wicked Worm
I went for a treasure-focused Rakdos burn deck. I put in what I feel is a decent amount of treasure generation, support, and ramp. I feel that if this were to be a precon, Treasure Troves would be a suitable name.

Thranduil, the Elvenking

Chief of the Wilds

Smaug the Impenetrable

Dwalin, Weaponmaster

Thorin, Mountain-king
tried to duplicate thorin's etb with my limited of deck building experience without using too many excessively expensive artefact.

Bilbo, Luckwearer // Burglar's Plot
An Honest Burglar - More or Less... Bilbo Baggins had never thought himself a burglar. He had left his comfortable home with little need for treasure, and still less desire for danger. Yet the road has a curious way of changing such things. From the Trollshaws to the dark beneath the mountains, Bilbo learns that a small thing may prove useful long after greater things have failed. Trinkets are gathered, riddles are answered, and a simple ring becomes a treasure beyond reckoning. And Bilbo himself discovers that there is more to burgling than merely taking what does not belong to you. Burglar's Plot lies at the heart of the deck. The small companions and curious things gathered along the road serve their purpose before being traded for greater treasures. Liquimetal Coating and Liquimetal Torque make even the most unlikely things fit for a bargain, while a Lucky Clover may turn one fortunate exchange into two. Even Bilbo's discarded possessions need not go to waste. Currency Converter turns the things left behind into new opportunities, ready to serve their purpose before becoming part of another bargain. But a burglar who knows how to enter must also know how to leave. Crystal Shard, This Town Ain't Big Enough, Narset's Reversal, and Sanctum of Eternity help Bilbo slip away and begin his adventure anew. Again and again he ventures forth, passing unseen, gathering what he finds, and returning with rather more than he took with him. There are Riddles in the Dark along the way, the Trollshaws to cross, a Great Gilded Boat to board, and, of course, Bilbo's Ring. And when the road has grown long, there is always the Green Dragon Inn waiting at its end. Yet Bilbo's adventures leave their mark. Every tale told and every card drawn feeds Chasm Skulker, Alandra, Sky Dreamer, and the ever-growing Homunculus Horde, until even a company that began with little may become a threat of its own. Bilbo begins his journey with no army, no great weapon, and little treasure to his name. Fortunately, a good burglar need not bring the most valuable things to the table. The other players have done that for him.

Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Chief of the Wilds
The fearsome dragon Smaug is dead, and his vast trove of treasure is ripe for the taking. The Wild Wolf Clan of the Misty Mountains has arrived along side the Goblin Horde of Moria to seize the spoils before any petulant dwarves can lay claim to this fortune! _______________________________________________________________________ Deck Description: This is an aggro Golgari deck, with the goal of going both wide and tall. The commander "Chief of the Wilds" is the cornerstone to it's strategy, focusing on its ability to rapidly grow larger as more wolves ETB. Ferocious is the primary deck theme, as many cards have mechanics that benefit from having a high power creature on the battlefield. Fill up your battlefield quickly with your pack of wolves, then make huge payoffs with your high-powered Chief. Relentlessly assail your opponents until you're the last army standing! _______________________________________________________________________ Preface: As TCC has designed precons for the Dwarves, Elves, and Goblins, I thought it was most appropriate to design this precon around one of the other 2 remaining armies- the men or the wolves, and I chose the latter. Although the commander's ability doubles Battle triggers, I decided not to include any of the currently printed battles as I felt none were either mechanically or flavorfully viable for this deck. Hopefully the co-op kit will print some much better suited Battles. Also, I tried my best to maintain a similar budget to the TCC Hobbit precons and appropriate flavor within this deck, excluding some very expensive and high-power options for more flavorful and budget-friendly alternatives. It was so much fun to build this, I hope you enjoy! _______________________________________________________________________ __________________________Themes & Mechanics: _________________________ Ramp: Torgal, A Fine Hound was an easy mana-dork choice as it is a low cost wolf that can trigger the Chief, and it incidentally gives major buffs to the handful of humans found in this deck! Whisperer of the Wilds taps for double mana when you have Ferocious, which is online as soon as you have the Chief on the battlefield. Selvala, Heart of the Wilds is a powerhouse of mana generation as she taps for mana equal to the power of your rapidly growing commander (and she has a wolf in her art!). Song of Freyalise allows your wolf pack to work together to summon even more wolves (and grants them a huge attack bonus when it finishes). Summon: Fenrir benefits from the Chief's double trigger by ramping 2 lands when played. And Traverse the Outlands has a tremendous payoff when coupled with the Chief to easily ramp out almost all of the basic lands in the deck! _______________________________________________________________________ Card Advantage: Herd Heirloom not only works as mana ramp, but also enables your commander to swing in with trample damage and draw you a card every turn. Hollowmurk Siege and Terrasymbiosis keep your hand full every time you put counters on the Chief, and can draw you even more when you flash in wolves on your opponents turn. The Chief Warg draws multiple cards when you attack, as the trigger is doubled by your commander. Owlbear Shepard and Colossal Majesty are budget friendly card-draw permanents that reward you for having a high power creature. And in-line with the aggro strategy, Ohran Frostfang enables your Wolves to swing in hard and draw many cards. Hunter's Insight, Return of the Wildspeaker, and Season of Gathering all allow for massive card draw payoffs with your buffed up commander, and can also enable some hard-hitting attacks. _______________________________________________________________________ Evasion: A crucial part of the aggro strategy. As with a few of the cards discussed above, cards like Sphere Grid and Howlpack Resurgence enable your creatures with trample, allowing you to swing in for commander damage with ease. Cover of Darkness allows your wolves to bypass most defenses, and thematically reminds me of the blacked out sky during the battle in The Hobbit. And a pet favorite card of mine in the deck- Roar of Challenge can used versatilely to knock out an opponent. When used on your commander, its high power can wipe out most of an opponents board, while allowing your wolf pack to hit their life total directly. Or when used on a lesser wolf, it allows your commander to evade your opponents defenses and hit for lethal commander damage. And the enchantment Alpha Authority not only provides the Chief with hexproof protection, but also overlaps with the Chiefs menace ability to make it unblockable. _______________________________________________________________________ Summoning the Wolf Pack: The deck is full of as many cheap and/or effective Wolf creatures as possible. Low cost wolves like Ascendant Packleader, Nighthowl Pursuer, and Young Wolf allow for cheap triggers of your commanders ability. Bejeweled Warg, Metallic Mimic, and Ravening Warg are low cost wolves that also benefit from the aggressive strategy. Mana cost reducers like Emerald Medallion, Honest Rutstein, and Cemetery Prowler allow you to quickly and efficiently cast as many wolves as possible. Kindred Summons is a fantastic spell for filling the battlefield with wolves at instant speed, and hulking out your commander at the same time. And token generators like Chief Warg's Company, Ferocious Pup, Howling Moon, Head of the Hunt, Silverfur Partisan, and Feed the Pack flood the battlefield with wolves and grow the Chief to a ridiculous power level (with token generation often doubled by the Chiefs 2nd ability). Hollowhenge Overlord is the MVP here, when flashed in on your opponents end step, it will quadruple your wolves on your upkeep. _______________________________________________________________________ Removal: Feed the Swarm and Gnashing of Teeth are powerful removal spells that are very flavorful for this deck. Moonlight Hunt is an obvious choice as it works perfectly with the Wolf kindred synergy. Assassin's Trophy and Tear Asunder are effective for general nonland permanent removal. And Inscription Abundance is extremely versatile removal spell, as it can also provide more +1/+1 counters and/or provide a high life gain payoff. _______________________________________________________________________ Lifegain: Packsong Pup and Ravening Warg are more low cost wolves that provide life gain bonuses. Reverent Howl has the potential to provide a huge life gain payoff when used on your commander. And Flourishing Hunter, while on it's own is a mostly unplayable common, but when combined with the Chief it provides a massive life gain equal to double your commanders already high toughness. _______________________________________________________________________ Lands: 2 MDFCs are included (for a total of 37 lands) Bridgeworks Battle allows for easy removal when fighting your commander, and Revitalizing Repast can protect your commander in a pinch. Bonder's Enclave and Mosswort Bridge can easily be activated with the Ferocious theme. Oran Rief and Mirkwood assist with the +1/+1 counters subtheme. And Rogue's passage can enable a commander damage finish when necessary. _______________________________________________________________________ Finishers: Along with the evasion cards discussed above, cards like Kindred Dominance clears the way for your wolves to swing in. Unnatural Growth consistently pumps your wolves for an onslaught. Overwhelming Stampede buffs all of your lesser wolves with the Chiefs power to wipe out your opponents in one swing. Unable to attack with your commander? Cast Essence Harvest and drain your opponents life equal to the chiefs high power.

Bifur, Melodic Rider

Beorn the Fierce
Step 1: Put land Step 2: Put Creature, make food, and counters. Step 3: ?? Step 4: Profit (Swing for game)

My first pauper deck. Tried to stick to a theme with my old cards before I started buying packs and precons.

The Chief Warg
I designed this Hobbit precon to closely follow WOTC precon principles and budget. I like decks that tell a story, and this deck tells the story of how "Ferocious" the wild lands of Middle Earth are. Draw cards, ramp, build up your creatures, make tokens and sacrifice for value. Have the animals of Mirkwood follow the Chief Warg to victory.

Tom Bombadil
___THIS IS MY WORKING COPY THAT WILL BE ADJUSTED AS I PLAY WITH THIS DECK - - - - - - ___Despite appearances, this is not just an annoying, sloppy meme deck. I can assure you, I fully intend to create and use this build. What this deck is actually about is sacrificing direct defenses to try and shake things up a bit. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ___As I'm sure you've noticed, I have abstained from including many of the tools most players feel are compulsory. Most of that stuff is still there (kind of), in the sagas. You're just gonna have to plan ahead a little more, that's all. No biggie! I mean, you can read minds, right? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ___To be clear, this deck is not built for consistency. It is purposely designed to give you a different path forward every time you run it. I could go off all day about the fun combos I plan to do with these cards, and I know there's plenty of other opportunities I can't see yet. There will likely be terrible dud starts, but that's a risk I'm willing to take. Winning isn't the only way to have fun. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ___As for the price quote, I know it's a bit heavy but I think it's worth it in the long run. If you'd like to reduce costs I've got a list of 15 alternative cards you can swap in to replace the more expensive stuff: - Down, Down to Goblin-Town - Korvold and the Noble Thief - Origin of the Avengers - Ornithopter of Paradise - Summon: Primal Odin - Sylvan Caryatid - Tale of Tinuviel - The Misty Mountains Cold - The Phasing of Zhalfir - The Rise of Sozin/Fire Lord Sozin - The World Spell - Time of Ice - Waking the Trolls - War of the Last Alliance - World War Hulk

Radagast of Rhosgobel
A thematic mono-green journey through Wilderland, calling upon the beasts, Ents and creatures of Middle-earth at a moment’s notice.

Chief of the Wilds
This deck has a wolf tribal theme with a food token subtheme. Our foods allow us to tap for extra mana, gain life, overrun our creatures and more! This deck was designed to allow for multiple ways to play so if you want to lean more into the food strategy then you can run Ygra, Eater or All as an alternate commander; or use Chief of the Wilds, our face commander, to double trigger the abilities of our wolves. There is only one battle in this deck because as of the moment, it is an unfortunately undersupported card type. Regardless of who you use as your commander they both build +1/+1 counters very quickly and there are several supporting cards to make your commander a massive threat! Make an army of wolves and food tokens and go wild!

Thranduil the Strategist
Everyone's favorite elf-king-they-love-to-hate Thranduil is back, and this time he's got strategery on his side! I pulled this card from a fresh pack myself and thought, wouldn't this be a fun character to play? Restricted myself to cards that can be pulled from Hobbit packs as much as possible, with a few extras that I would have had reprinted with fine JRRT elf flair in a lost Hobbit Precon. It's also my first time fully designing a Commander Deck from scratch, so I hope it's at least playable and fun!

Beorn the Fierce

Elrond, Moon-Reader
Utilize powerful enters-the-battelfield effects and activated abilities to generate value and overwhelm your opponents. Elrond acts as a powerful centerpiece for the deck, providing us with both the card draw we need to keep up and the blink we'll want to reset our triggers and protect our permanents. An army of mana dorks helps keep us casting spells and activating Elrond, and Elrond provides us with card draw in return. This deck provides a fun, fully functional bracket 2 blink deck out of the box. For those looking to move up the brackets, the deck offers room for simple upgrades to be more competitive, such as Peregrine Drake, Agent of Treachery, and Laboratory Maniac, while keeping the overall list intact. I tried to keep this deck to the restrictions of $150 or less at time of completion, only cards that have been printed in UW and Tolkien, no DFCs as precons can't expect you to have sleeves, and standard precon powerlevel/card choices.

Tom, Bert, and William
Big stompy aristocrats. Stop sacrificing little guys and pick on someone your own size! A deck built around sacrificing powerful creatures to the tolls for value. They dodge (commander) taxes and cheat with evoke and warp to get higher powered creatures out early. Enough protection, interaction, and recursion to keep up until you can land a deadly finisher.

Gandalf, Party Guest
A casual hobbit Precon replicating Thorin's company featuring the 13 dwarfs, Bilbo, ponies and Gandalf as commander. The deck sets to recreate the story of the hobbit up until the end of desolation of Smaug with the landmarks and story sagas found within. the deck focuses the setting of the storied effect found on each dwarf with the support of the many 2 many spells Gandalf can cast when on the field. i hope you find this idea creative and fun as it should be as this is my first attempt at building a deck.

Belladonna Took
- Recruit Allies - Overwhelm Your Opponents (Mono-White Precon Commander deck) #Tokens #Recruit https://archidekt.com/decks/25445523/belladonna

The Queen of Dale
This deck is a mono white reanimator list. Fill your graveyard with the sea of recruit triggers from your commander, The Queen of Dale, or with one of the self-mill options like Millikin. From there, use cards like Breath of Life or Emeria, the Sky Ruin to cheat out big threats. Since the commander is giving you a constant stream of 1/1 Human Soldier tokens, I put in some human typal and token subthemes. Cards like Lossarnach Captain will give you extra value with each recruit trigger, while cards like Moonshaker Cavalry will turn a wide board of tokens into a game-ending threat. As with most precons, there is plenty of room for tinkering and upgrading this deck. Focusing more into the different themes by adding things like bigger reanimation targets or token doublers could turn this list from a fun bracket 2 deck into a force to be reckoned with.

Smaug the Magnificent
