Seshiro the Anointed

Steph's deck! Snakes are little and silly but Seshiro makes them big and scary. We want to prevent combat damage from our opponents as often as we can until we reach critical mass, and then use the incredible number of cards we've drawn to unleash serpentine fury upon our foes.

Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder & Tymna the Weaver

Steph's deck! We love goblins... but we especially love goofy Khans of Tarkir goblins. We're not trying to do a mono red goblin aggro build here... this is a mardu deck that tries to win with goblins, but tries extra hard to win by capitalizing on cool goblinoid ETB's. Midrange goblins, you say? Lets do it.

Grishnákh, Brash Instigator

Steph's deck! This deck is all about removal-via-theft. We want to maximize our use of Grishnakh's ability, steal and attack with our opponents' creatures, and sacrifice them at an altar of our choosing. Then, we aim to close out the game by swinging big with our evasive (and ever-growing) mob of racuous Zombies and/or Orcs.

Niv-Mizzet Reborn

Steph's deck! Card draw in the command zone, you say? If a better recipe for success for a control player exists, we've not seen it. This deck controls the board with destructive two-color spells, and tries to win the game by flying overhead with lots of two-colored dragons who make each other (and their general) even better simply by being dragons.

Shabraz, the Skyshark

Steph's deck! Shabraz is often seen as little more than Brallin's sidekick... but no more. It's Shabraz's world here, and all these blue/white humans are just living in it. In true Azorius mage fashion we're going to draw tons of cards and benefit from it... and then try to win the game with a legion of humans who get unceremoniously launched into the air by their shark patron.

Okaun, Eye of Chaos & Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom

Steph's deck! This definitely ain't the precon. We don't have a ton of coin flip cards here, because we dont need them! Our commanders flip plenty of coins when combat happens... so why not just simply **have as many combats as possible**? Okaun gets pretty terrifyingly large, so we've also got some pretty sweaty control magic in here to make sure he stays on the board and keeps on swinging turn after turn.

Grolnok, the Omnivore

Steph's deck! Yes, its frogs. We're trying very hard to attack with as many frogs as we can... though you'll notice I didn't say we had to deal damage. We want our tiny goofy frogs to turn sideways with as few repercussions as possible, throw as many cards into exile as possible, then wrap it all in a bow with Lab Maniac-esque effects to try to cheese our way into a win. This gets notably easier when there are more Grolnoks on the battlefield, though.

Kamiz, Obscura Oculus

Steph's deck! Cephalids are underappreciated... but like, probably correctly so. They're by and large not very good on their own. So we've decided to make them evasive with Kamiz and utilize several "cut your opponents life totals in half" effects to make them, well, effective. Wrap it up in a pillow fort shell for some longevity... and that's this deck!

Colfenor, the Last Yew

Steph's deck! Squirrels? Squirrels. This isn't your normal golgari Chatterfang deck... this is an all-out aristocrats build with tiny furry friends serving as our main engine! With about 98 different ways to infinitely combo out, Colfenor is a great host for our miniscule mammalian mates. We continuously rip creatures back from our graveyard to keep a consistent stream of bushy-tailed beats coming down on our opponents.

Basandra, Battle Seraph

Steph's deck! We try to find a stuffy doll effect, make it indestructible if its not already, then redirect silly amounts of damage to it to swiftly decrease our opponents' life totals. With a little bit of battle-shaping magic to make combat happen how we want it, we'll have our opponents making unprofitable attacks right into our little stuffy trap.

Trostani, Selesnya's Voice

Steph's Deck! Steph's Deck! This deck tries to make increasingly large-and-in-charge (mostly) vanilla token creatures that gain me absurd amounts of life and provide lots of value when they enter the battlefield... and then populate them! With a few alternative life-total-based win cons, some solid late-game finishers, but distinctly NO token doublers, some may find this deck slow. That may be true, but it's steady, and it aims to win the race.
